My outward appearance isn’t all that different from Chassepot’s, but... my performance has advanced considerably. Because it uses metal cartridges, all that’s said about humidity is meaningless. It has a faster rate of fire, is more accurate, and is, overall, better. Its performance is undeniably impeccable.

I am Murata. I was the first domestically-produced rifle to be used under the Meiji era’s government. A long time ago, within Japan, the various types of rifles used were all jumbled up, and the standards for both guns and bullets were a mess.
All of that is why I was made. So to speak, I am the ancestor of a certain military’s standard gun. As far as modern guns go, it’s a very old classification, but please, don’t be concerned about that.
